Tuesday, February 13 - Loches, Saint-Denis International School - Day 2 - Chenonceau & Mardi Gras
Today we spent our morning at St. Denis International School attending one period (45 min) of classes. Then, we visited the Chenonceau castle, one of the most beautiful castles in the Loire Valley. We were given a guided tour of its interior, where we learned about its rich history spanning several centuries, and we also had time to explore the castles ourselves. We had a picnic lunch at the jardin (garden) de Diane de Poitiers, and then we freely explored the castle and its surrounding gardens ourselves. After our visit to the Chenonceau castle, we went back to St. Denis International School to celebrate Mardi Gras (Feb. 13, 2024), where we watched and participated in their parade while eating crepes.
