Paris Day 3, 2/18

Today was our last full day in France, and we spent the day exploring Paris. After a delicious pastry breakfast at the hotel, we took  the metro to l'Arc de triomphe. Though it was lightly drizzling and cloudy, we had a stunning view of the iconic monument. Then we walked down les Champs d' Élys é es, observing the luxury stores and beautiful blend of modern and iconic Haussmann architecture. After a short lunch at a small cafe, we ventured further to the Louvre. During our tour with our excellent guide Dina, we viewed both classic pieces like Venus de Milo , The Winged Victory of Samothrace , and The Raft of Medusa , in addition to countless other paintings hanging in the esteemed halls. My personal favorite was the sculpture of Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss , featured below. Then we were given some time to explore the boutiques in the mall under the museum. Saturday, February 17 - Paris - Day 2 - Quartier Latin, Notre-Dame, Comédie française

Beautiful sunny day in Paris, with a lot of walking and discoveries!  En français : A ujourd’hui, on a commencé le jour par visiter l’église de Saint-Germain, avec les peintures et fenêtres incroyables qui couvrir tous les murs. Après, on est allé au Jardin du Luxembourg, et on a découvrir la vie parisienne qui inclut des sentiments de ne rien faire et profite de la vie pendent les temps libres. Ensuite, on a déjeuné a la célèbre rue Mouffetard, un quartier avec tellement la culture riche qui concerne les littéraires célèbres comme Victor Hugo. On an explorer la rive gauche de Paris, un lieux intellectuel avec plein d’écrivains comme James Joyce et Ernest Hemingway qui y a habité et appréciation pour l’art. On a le chance de finir le jour par voir un pièce de théâtre de Molière, Les Fourberies de Scapin, qui était tellement amusant. Divya
